Vegas Day 2

Woke up about 8 am, cleaned up and went walking down the retail shops at the Stratosphere.  Most of the shops were closed and hardly anyone was around and it was great.  They had an Oxygen bar there!!! LOL  Selling air...how funny.

I go to starbucks and use one of my coupons - and that was breakfast.  Took it back up to the room, did my school work (running trend between Vegas and Israel) LOL and did a bit of work and then checked out expressly via my room.

At this point I knew it was far too early to go to Trump Hotel.  So I cruised the Strip took some photos and got some gas.  Then had lunch.  At that point I thought I should circle back and just see about checking in.  Did the valet thing and they took me in right away.  I was able to upgrade my room to a suite on the 48th floor overlooking the strip and WOW...what a view.  The room even has a fridge and a microwave and an oven!  I WANT TO LIVE HERE! ROFL...Anyway, at this point I love the suite it is my fav - but NO ONE else has shown up.  This is supposed to be a group adventure than went from 12 people nearly confirmed or had confirmed and by 5 pm no one else was here.  I just sort of figured Ok, its just me..I can just kick back and relax and go at my own whim.  Then Agrippa calls me and tells me that he his here.  So, we connect up to my suite and talk about NR and introduce ourselves and have a relaxing evening.  We go downstairs to the Trump restaurant where I have to say I had the best steak in my freaking life!  We call it a day pretty much after dinner.  We make plans for tomorrow and I go back to my room to finish up my classes.  A fun day overall!

The only thing better is if more people showed up. My room was perfect to handle accommodations up easily up to 10 people and the spare room I paid for went unused. LOL

Lots of photos taken.

Vegas! Day 1

My first day in Las Vegas was Thursday.  I had to wake up at 4 am to take Jenn to work and I had to go to my office for a few hours to try to resolve some issues.  In other words I did not leave to Las Vegas until about oh 9:30 am - 10 am.  I did not get to the Stratosphere until about 4 pm.  There was a huge car accident right after Hoover Dam that caused traffic to be a standstill for about 30 min.  I check in and I am just whipped. I did not even have lunch or dinner.  I just unpacked everything - found out I had some net issues and instead of trying to resolve them just said screw it and laid down at 4:40 pm.  Fell immediately asleep and woke up at almost 2 am.

I got dressed went downstairs (I was on the 14th floor) checked out the casino's dropped about 50 bucks and went to Lucky's Cafe for some food.  Explored the casino floor a bit more and then went back to sleep since I knew I had to check out by 11 am.

That was day one.

NEW TRIP TO ISRAEL

YEP you heard me!

Time to plan a new trip to Israel.

The time frame of this trip will be next Sept/October.

Jenn and Alexander both want to go.

This time I really want to get to explore Caesaria, Haifa, Masada again, and the Crusader ruins in northern Israel.

I have already told Lital about it.

So, I have two things I need to work on my upcoming surgery and then the trip to Israel again.   WHOOOOO!!!!

More news

Yep today is catch up day.

Deanna is back so work is now starting to get back to normal!   YAY!!!!

It really sucked not having her around.

Now I can actually begin focus on my own medical procedure.  From my previous stay at the hospital I know I will need to have  surgery.  Now I am trying to find a surgeon who will do the procedure.  TERRIFIC.  And, then deal with pre-approval process with the insurance company. UGH.

So, for now the aliyah is postponed.  There is no way I can do this while I am not of sound health.  Once this is taken care of - full steam ahead.

Adventures with vets

Sunday I had to take Cornelius for round two  of his vet experiences.  First let me say I could barely type on Saturday because that bum....Jenn and I were trying to give him some meds and his back paws sliced into my hand and DAMN...next thing Jenn knows I have blood dripping on my floor and the cat carrier.  We finally give him his med and he runs off thinking he has been violated.

So far Jenn has been bitten.  we both have been scratched by his back pays - I am So glad he is declawed now.

When it is time to take him to the vet - he knows it.  He fights and tries to hide but he can only hide so far.  On Sunday it really sucked because he was supposed to be there for the entire day.  But the wouldnt do the surgery  as he was still under antibiotics.  So, this sunday I have to do this all over again.  Seriously this is now going to be about a month where I have NOT been able to sleep in a single day.

So, they drew his blood, checking the basics and his organ functions.  I want the vaccines.  But they cannot do that yet until this gets resolved first.

Sick Kitty

Cornelius went to the vet yesterday.   Jenn noticed he was quite sluggish yesterday so I immediately made an appt at the local vet.  I was off of work at 2:30.  The vet appt was at 5 pm.  We got there at 4:30 and proceed to wait over an hour to see the vet.  It was the longest appt to see a vet I have ever experienced.  I was seriously on the verge of falling asleep there - after having to take Alex to the airport at - then work and then taking Corney to the dr.

I had to wait over an hour...my appt was 5 we didnt get in until almost 5:45.  I find out Cornelius is 18.2 lbs.  This is a shock as everyone thinks he is bigger than that.  But nope. 18.2 it is...and the vet said he is at most 2 lbs overweight.  She said it is not that bad.   Then we get to the crux - his lymph nodes are swollen.  She listens to his heart - A-ok. then she glances at his teeth.  And it is here that we think we found the culprit. He has gingivitis and tartar build up.

He gets a shot of antibiotics, some take home meds and on Sunday I take him back for kitty surgery.  They will draw blood, clean his teeth and hopefully once he feels better get his vaccinations.

Poor Cornelius he will not be a happy camper on Sunday.

Back again

It's been a freaking crazy week.

Alexander has been here for just over a week.  That was LOADS of fun.

Then I have had continue bouts of pain in my abdomen - this REALLY sucks...as I know I have to have that surgery now.  Can't postpone it any more.

Then Alexander missed his flight on Sunday LOL - So early early today I had to wake up to make sure he made it to his flight.  He did.   Though he is on standby.  Hopefully he will make it home with no troubles.

It was so much fun having him over.!   And, I do hope he moves out here - it was fun to have him over and it will be very good for Jenn.

Nobel Prize - FOR WHAT?

Seriously, I thought it was a joke when this morning I saw KFYI email saying that B. Hussein Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.  Keep in mind this prize has been awarded to such peaceful men like Yassir Arafat and Dhimmi Carter and Al Gore.

Now according to the peace prize:

For 108 years, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has sought to stimulate precisely that international policy and those attitudes for which Obama is now the world's leading spokesman.

Now tell me how can they  justify giving Obama this prize?

Bizarro world.  We live in Bizzaro world.

A Visitor

Since Saturday we have had a guest staying with Jenn and I.    Alexander flew in from Kentucky and is staying with us for a week.

We picked him up on Saturday and he got his rental car then we went to Chompies.  My sis ended up joining us and it was a blast.  We were trying to coordinate a group lunch with Potitus but it did not manage to work out until dinner.   So in the meantime we ended up getting Jen a bed- now she was able to get rid of her air mattress!

Asshat of the day

I dont know if most of you have been updated about the Roman Polanski thing..but it is shit like this that make me wish actors and actresses were regulated back to the brothels from which their profession was ranked back in ancient times!  Just read this quote from Ace:

This quote is great:

In an interview, Weinstein said that people generally misunderstand what happened to Polanski at sentencing. He's not convinced public opinion is running against the filmmaker and dismisses the categorization of Hollywood as amoral. "Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion," Weinstein said. "We were the people who did the fundraising telethon for the victims of 9/11. We were there for the victims of Katrina and any world catastrophe."

That is shocking on so many levels. Among them, the implication that celebrities were necessary for the 9/11 fundraising, or that they should have the great bulk of the credit, rather than the millions of much poorer people who donated more than an hour of their time for a telethon. Same with Katrina.

This guy really is pushing the idea of droit du seignor. He really believes that. The Kings provide to the peasants in the field, and the peasants owe the Kings certain indulgences in repayment of that benevolence.

Now, in case you did not know...droit du segnor (depending on how you spell it) is basically the Lord's Right:

Droit de seigneur (French pronunciation: [dÊ€wa d(É™) sɛɲœʀ], "the lord's right", same as latin "Jus primae noctis") is a term now popularly used to describe an alleged legal right allowing the lord of an estate to take the virginity of the estate's virgins.

These fuckstick actors and producers think they are the ones to dictate compassion - THEIR compassion as the standard.  Given that...one could say oh the holocaust was so long ago and those poor nazis suffered so much having to avoid capture and incarceration.  That is punishment enough.  Those fucking fucksticks are no better than the whores who came before them.

Roman Polanski should server every minute of his life behind bars where hopefully he will have a cellmate that will keep him as occupied as that 13 year old girl was when he brutally raped and sodomized her.
