Aliyah News

Well another minor bump on the road.  I know need to get my parents marriage certificate.  Since it is HIGHLY unlikely that I could ever get my mother's birth certificate since she was born in Shanghai.  The Marriage certificate would be a great substitution.

I am placing it in the mail today.

10% Unemployment

In reality - we are probably closer to 13-15% Unemployment if you can factor discouraged individuals who ceased their efforts to look for jobs.  Considering that 35 million people are getting food stamps at the cost of about 5.5 BILLION annually.  Geoff @ Innocent Bystanders has the latest chart that reflects 9.7% Unemployment that was just released from the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Interesting stuff - READ IT ALL.

In a week it will be a YEAR since I was in Israel!

Wow an entire year.

I miss not being there.  It was so much fun - I still enjoy going over the photos of the trip....seeing the pictures of and from Masada into Jordan.....the border of Israel and Syria....strolling the streets of Jerusalem....the night life of Tel Aviv!  The BEACHES of Tel Aviv!  SO MUCH FUN!  Can't wait til I am there again!!!!

Question for the group

When did we stop referring to the girls by their nicknames?  Dishka for Adi and Tasha for Lital?  I know it had to be before the trip.....but I am trying to find a time when we just started using their names. - Do you guys have any ideas?

Good day!

Adi finally got the B-day gift I had sent to her.   I know I sent it later than I expected but at least now I know she got it.  It was a Nightmare before Xmas cup.

I am so glad that she likes it.   And it didn't break in transit.

Frisched

So, Patrick Owen has just Frisched himself in Nova Roma.  By "trying" to pay me a sympathy note he makes a comment saying to the effect - someone needs to check on my cats and my belongings to make sure they are "ok."  (Yes I am paraphrasing).  Now, why would he say something like that in terms of a sympathy note.  My conclusion - my opinion, was that his note was anything but sympathetic.  He meant to bring back the memory of my niece and I discovering my last break-in that resulted in the death of my kitten, Luna.  And the 3 break-ins that resulted in my moving in with my sister.

What kind of despicable human being sends a sympathy note while at the same time recalling the horrible memories that his political adversary went through?  All I can say is that is one despicable human being.  Patrick Owen - you are one despicable waste of a human being.

And now I have a slight taste of what being Frisched feels like.

Back to work

I am back at work.  School is situated and cleared.

I am going to do at least a half day at work.  I just feel really tired.  My legs feel better but my arms are just aching.  Beyond that I am just trying to get back to my normal routine as quickly as possible.  I think by Wed or Thursday everything will be back to normal - the way things were before.
