I spoke to my grandmother, she gave me the number to a relative.  This would be her aunt ( get relations very confused).  Her name is Shaloma, my grandmother says she stays in contact with friends and relations who lived in China and now live in Israel.  So, tomorrow I get to call her and touch base with her and see if we still have family in Israel.  The last I know is that we had distant relations in Haifa but that was about 10 years ago.  So, hopefully something will pan out!   My grandmother is very happy that I am going to Israel, she kept telling me how my grandfather went to Israel. I knew it already.  I could tell she was very excited.  I didn't want to overwork her, so I told her I would keep her informed of my plans and such. 

Also, today I mailed to the county of Los Angeles a request to get an official copy of my birth certificate.  So, I can apply for my passport.  And I learned one good thing about being born in California - the fee was only $17.00.  My secretary is getting her Birth certificate in Michigan and they charge $46.00!  What a rip! LOL

I guess this would be a good time to start talking about my family's history (at least that of which I know).
