Day 8 - KETZEF!!!

It's been a hella long day.  I have not been online at all for most of the day.  When I do manage to get online I find the chatroom not working again! The back up is working at least.  I have already alerted youtube.

Sorry for the short post, just worn out today, was at work at 5 am  until 4 pm moving to our new office, but hey at least my new office is bigger! LOL

So, lets chill and relax to Tasha as soap girl - and imagine a world this would be if we had a superhero as amazing as Tasha!

Day 9 - Part 3 - Vacation Clip

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3

Today the girls posted a new clip on Heep.  It is part 3 of their adventure in SE Asia.  Overall it was very good.  I know that I love seeing the girls in their element.  I was sort of hoping that in the upcoming clips we would have seen more of what they did, the sights they saw and the local residents.  Just about everything the girls have shown on the clip so far are things they could have easily done in Israel, so to speak.   That is my primary criticism for what its worth.  Beyond that, it sure does look like they were having a great time with each other and all the guys they were meeting. And, in the end that is what counts.  YAY for the new clip!  Enjoy!

Question for the readers

This blog was originally started when mee.nu was beta testing.  Now that is nearing completion.  Should I keep the blog going?     Your input would be appreciated.

Treasured Possessions

There are a few things that I value.  My cats, my car, my house, my rather large book collection (that I have not yet talked about), but in the scope of things one of the few things that I have that I value materially are my scripts and other collections from That 70s show.  When I lived in Pasadena, CA (if you have not been there, you must visit the area, its wonderful!) - I used to attend tapings weekly of That 70s show.  I was so into that show and honestly, I don't really know why, execpt I remember being home sick one day - arguing with my ex-fiancee and just sat down and watched it and started laughing.  Since then I was hooked.  I was so hooked that I began attending the tapings.  I loved going there.  Between the stresses of work, my Graduate degree program, issues at home being able to go to those tapings were my time - the time I was able to escape and enjoying doing something I wanted to do.  Every three Friday's (they were off the fouth consecutive Friday) I would take a couple hours off early from work, drive 25 min from Pasadena to Studio City and kick back with the other fans and wait to be let in.  It was a great experience.  I went predominately during the 6th season (the last decent season of the show as it turned out).  I would wait about 2 hours before they would seat us.  Then we had an hour or so wait before warm up guy (Ron Pearson) would start to do his act - which did not really change from one week to another.  Then they would bring out the cast and begin the tapings.

I was there when Ashton got punked.    I have seen how they filmed the Christmas episodes and such and various guest stars like Shannon Elizabeth, Seth Green, Allyson Hannigan (sp), Tim Reid and even sat almost next to Mark Hamill (now that was a treat).

Each of those shows were great in the own way and on most of the tapings I was fortunate enough to obtain some souvineers.  Mostly scripts.   I got about 14 scripts (gave some away to Tasha, Dishka and my sister), I got a soundtrack, and a hat (there is a story about the hat).  I became a regular there.  The security guards recognized me, the production people recognized me and the stars did as well.  Everyone was very friendly and that made the show that much more exciting and enjoyable!  It was so much fun that when I missed a few episode tapings, one of the production guys came up to me - when they saw me return - and gave me the hat and asked what happened.  I told them that I was ill but that I was back and he told me if I ever had a problem in getting tickets to call CBS Studio ask for him and he would be able to get me in.   That was really really nice - though I never did have that problem.    That hat is stored away in my closet! LOL

Anyway, about half of my souvieers have been autographed by some or most of the cast.  However, the one I enjoy the most is the very first thing that I had autographed.  It was a copy of the Hollywood Reporter celebrating the 100th episode (the musical one).  I got that signed the first time I went to the taping.  Here is a pic of it.

We are almost down to single digits!!!!

Chatrooms are working again!    The welcome back clip is coming along nicely and we are looking forward to the final draft of it.  If anyone wants a sneak peak, just contact Chris

Here are some of the newest heep clips that have been loaded into youtube by Steve.  Enjoy!

This is the one I had no idea what Tasha is saying but it reminded me of those commercials - Head on, apply directly to the forehead!

This is the President Shimon Peres clip that I linked to earlier.

Day 11 - Favorite Tasha Clips

Yesterday I posted my favorite Dishka Clips.  Today is my favorite Tasha Clips.  There are so many of them to choose from (there are only a few clips that she does not appear in some way, shape or form) so its really hard to narrow them down.  When I asked someone of the regulars in the chatroom I got some of the typical responses:  Riffage, High Clip, Hey Clip....and those are great clips!  I think part of the problem is that there are so many different facets to Tasha.   The creative, the fun loving, the serious and the depressed all show different insights.  Here are some of my favorite Tasha clips:

Tasha's World

Tasha & Music

Just another Sunday night

Day 12 - My favorite Dishka Clip(s)

Today's topic is my favorite Dishka Clips.  There are quite a few that come to mind, but I think the two top ones are:  Purim and How to do a lipsync.  Of course there is also Shawn's Tribute to Dishka...but I think the Purim when she dresses up as an elf...she looked better than Liv Tyler in LoTR.  And, she has the most expressive eyebrows I have ever seen!  These clips highlight her expressiveness and beauty.  What do you think is the best Dishka clip? and why?

Day 13 - President Shimon Peres clip!

Today the girls gave us a new treat!  A new posting on Heep and on a very unlikely topic, a celebration of new Israeli President Shimon Peres!  I said unlikely because most of the girl's clips are non-political.  There also is a clip of them celebrating Israeli Independence Day on Heep.  I hope you enjoy these clips as much as I have!

Day 14 - 2 more weeks!

We are in the final stretch.  Two more weeks until the girls return home.  And we have already started seeing their vacation clips.

Today's clips will focus on their interviews - that were spawned by the popularity of the over 15 million viewed Hey Clip.

Flashback Friday is in effect!!!

1 hour until work is OVER!  So, it's time to get into the weekend vibe!

So let's start this off with some smooth oldschool jams!

Keith Sweat - Something just ain't right

This is from his first album - Which I listened to so much when I was in High School that I had to buy it twice!  New Jack Swing is alive and well....that and House Music are my absolute favorites!

Inner City - Good Life (198

Oh this song brings back ALOT of memories.  Mainly when I started working. I worked at a pizza place in Riverside and listening to that takes me right back to those days (yeah I was 16 years old), delivering pizzas, lots of laughter and old friends/acquaintances.

Cathy Dennis with D-MOB - Thats the way of the world

Oh man!! THIS SONG RULES!!! House Music at its best!  Just listen to it and tell me you don't like this song!  YOU CAN'T!  It's just simply that good!  This music takes me right back to High School and my early college days.  Lots of parties lots of fun!

Ok another Cathy Dennis Jam (well two actually)

Cathy Dennis - Just another Dream

Cathy Dennis - Come and Get My Love - 1990

Ok this song was WAY popular when I was a Senior in High School! Back in 1990!   Nice memories. hehe

Day 15 - More Heep clips and updates

First off the bad news, chatrooms still down.  No further contact from youtube in regards to it.  - So now I am researching into creating a chatroom and hooking it up to the blog here.  We will see how that goes.  Right now the best way to chat is through IM programs like:  ICQ, MSN, Yahoo etc etc.  Hopefully that will change.

Now for the good news.  We heard from Tasha today.  First she changed her youtube profile (CHECK IT OUT!)  Secondly, since Steve started posting Tasha's heep clips I started getting a bit concerned, since they were being posted publicly.  To make a long story short, there were issues when he was trying to make them private - mainly that we couldn't view them!  So it seems most of us regulars contacted Tasha just to make sure it was cool, that the clips be posted publicly.  And, it seems to be cool!  Another thing that concerned me,  was the fact that I started linking the clips directly on the blog.  So, I decided to be proactive and just ask her. (Taking my queue from Steve).  Today she responded and everything is cool.   So, on top of today being a Happy Friday, I got a shot out from her on the youtube and a message!

Now lets get to the clips, since its such a good day we are going to post three clips!

Tasha - I wanna hold your hand

Amy Winehouse - Rehab Video

Ok this song is just COOL.  Yes, I have a thing for crooners....Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack are just it.  They are the essence of Coolness!  I wish I was older so that I could have seen them live...and at the same time I wish I appreciated them when I was younger.  But, I have since made up for it.  Anyway, the local dance music station would play this song and I immediately enjoyed it....but I had no idea who sang it.  Tonite I downloaded it and found out it was Amy Winehouse.  That name sounded familiar so I checked Omri's site and yep..he featured her in a different song and proclaimed that she was Jewish! LOL.  So listen to the clip and see if the song just draws you in, like it did me!

Another new Dishka/Tasha Clip

This one is for a contest on Heep.  We get to see Tasha. Don't know what the competition is for - can't figure it out..but I did get the feeling it was something like "Head on - apply directly to the forehead!"  LOL
