On Foxsports, they report that not even a wedding proposal can go off smoothly! LOL Here is the jist of it:
During Monday night's 7-0 loss to the Nationals at Minute Maid Park, a fan failed in his public attempt at asking his girlfriend to marry him, the Houston Chronicle reported on its Web site.
With the couple on display on the stadium's jumbotron, the male fan got down on one knee to present the ring. The woman, wearing a replica Astros jersey, appeared to dump a bag of popcorn on the man before hastily making her way up the stairs amid a chorus of boos, the newspaper reported.
Now, as I said, it's sad and funny. Wanna know the funny parts? The comments both on fox news and on Ace! (Yeah my sense of humor is sadistic) but at the same time wouldnt you have sort of judged whether or not your hope-to-be fiancee would say yes? Anyway, enjoy "teh funnah":____
"Gimme an "L", gimme an "O", gimme an "S", gimme an "E"....
and I hope she flipped the crowd off real good!
____
Now this dude "cbucks17" is a totally glass-half-full kind of guy!! Learn from him, I say!
"He never had to hire a divorce attorney AND he got half of her popcorn...sounds like a win win."____
10 Shouldn't he have chosen a more romantic location? Like at Taco Bell or maybe the Men's Department at Sears?
____
do yer proposing at home, hopefully facilitated by some liquor just to make sure you get something out of the evening.
That's what I did. Not because I was afraid she'd say no, but because I was afraid she'd say yes.

Lawyers have a saying: never ask anyone a question unless you already know the answer.
This is why.
____
25 That's why you never propose unless you're 100% goddamn sure she's gonna say yes. At least this guy probably got some pity fucking from some girl at the ball park out of it. And like my granddaddy used to say, "Pity fucking is still fucking!"
____
Like I said, sad but funny.
Update: 8 am You would think he would have tried to forsee this. Considering he was going to be proposing infront of 50,000 people? Oh wait, he did this in the Astrodome, more like 30,000 people. hehehehe
