Virtual Friends Vs. Real Friends....which is better??

Written By Chris

well the first thing that comes to mind is virtual friends don't usually ask to borrow money, like real friends can..hehe.....and bad breathe is never a factor either, what a bonus!!!  it seems virtual friends see the good side of all of us!....because we put forward are kindest and best self...only real friends watch you fall on your ass after drinking to much...or maybe your hair cut sucks! Or out of style....BUT with online friends we only have our words to use : this is the confusing part of it for me. So many misunderstandings online, sometimes misunderstandings are funny, : what the hell have we been talking about the last 10mins????…I thought you meant…..also if your words suck sometimes...well you suck right along with them...you can't wink or give facial expression...I think one of my strong points...oh well. Well the possibility for trickery is higher on the net...yeah.  It takes a little longer to weed out the bad also....I can do that pretty quickly in person.... I realized that losing ppl (friends from the net) or the possibility of it....wow is serious business.., kinda feel the same hurt...damn this net thing was supposed to be a very limited relationship right ? wrong...most ppl care about their online friends in a similar ways….

Other issues come up also...how guarded to be about yourself, your life.. Hard thing to know... you ever notice also people can kinda spy on each other a little; funny, I think they have laws against that in real life ….LOL. Sometimes people go further and world's collide...hey maybe we should meet, it would be cool! we have been talking for a year already!! But will it ruin it?, ....The point is I never would have met these awesome people, if not for my dumb computer!!!!! You kinda expect to have things in common with other Americans like Robert and Dan, but to have so much in common with Tasha and possibly Yair (you have some potential dude) from that incredible kick ass place called Israel . Let’s just call all of them real friends!!!! here is why : there are no "virtual" people typing onto the computer key board!!, we are REAL.....Well, this i my first time around everyone, and it’s not like me at ALL., I’m glad I changed my mind though.  Chris,

UPDATE:  By Robert:

Nice post Chris.   This is something I wanted to blog about as well, but I haven't came up with the right words to express myself on the subject with clarity.  I feel pretty much the same way.   I never thought something like this would happen from the time I started watching Tasha and Dishka's clips.  Hell I never made a tribute video unlike Dan, Steve, or Chris - I just commented and messaged Tasha.  Even at the time I don't know if I fully expected a response...I figured she had hundreds of messages   But look now.  Over 6 months later and we are blessed with having wonderful friends.  It is amazing that next year I will actually have the pleasure of meeting them.   It is even more wonderful that I can count them as friends.  Not online acquaintances...but friends who trust and care for each other.   Lital and Yair Thank you, thank you for letting us share apart of your lives and thank you for your trust.
