Masterbation songs

Over at the hostages they have this post up about how modern art is nothing more than an occupied gymsock (NTTAWWT - not that there's anything wrong with that).  It seems an artist in England has made some art work from his semen.  (I guess that is better than that one artist who made art from his crap).   Anyway, this gave me a good idea to post some clips that focus in and around masterbation.

Oh thanks to he/she/it (oh I mean Rosetta) for this idea!

Billy Squire - The Stroke

The Vapors - Turning Japanese

Divinyls - I touch myself

Are there any others - I am sure there are.  But off the top of my head - those are the songs I can think of.

Romney's out.

He just made his concession speech.

The Maverick has basically locked up the nomination.  No brokered convention on the Republican side.

On a funny note, Rush Limbaugh is thinking of holding a fund raiser for Hillary Clinton!!! LOL  Man that had me laughing!

My hospital adventure.

Yesterday I was supposed to go for a cat scan.  Personally, I am 99% certain I have an abdominal hernia.  The codiene helps...the pain has lessened...but the doctors want to be 100% sure.  Heck I even started working out again - mildly at the very least.  I just stop once I start getting some pain.

Anyway, after having to reschedule my original Cat Scan due to the Superbowl traffic I ended up at Shea Hospital in Scottsdale yesterday.  I left work at noon to relax at in my house for an hour..playing with the cats...then I left @ 1 pm and finally got to the hospital around 2:15 and wow there was no parking. None at all.  However at the main entrance there is a complimentary valet parking.  So, I took advantage of that even there there was a hike from the main entrance to the outpatient radiology department.  Finally I got there, and signed in...and one of the admins came to me saying we need you to drink this and then we will see you in an hour. LOL  It was a liter of water with some meds to try to open up the veins so it will be easier for them to put an iodine solution into me. So, I did it and was damn near falling asleep in the waiting room and in about an hour and 15 min they call me in.  I had to change into those infamous hospital robes - G-d I hate hospital smell.  As I am changing the nurse is asking me basic questions - allergic to codeine?  I say not much anymore since I am taking it now without any ill effect.  Allergic to iodine?  Nope..blah blah blah.    Then he tells me that they are going to put an IV into my arm and put this iodine solution so they can get a better reading on the cat scan.  I was surprised by that (never had a cat scan before) but I told him cool.   He tells me its no big deal but he tells me the cat scan room is like 3 floors up and across the hospital.  So, he asks me, would you like a wheel chair...at this point, yeah I said yes..because the pain is already somewhat present..and will be in full affect if I have to take a hike.  So he said no problem. And I go into the radiology room to get my IV set up.  So, here I am waiting for the nurses to come in and they start feeling my abdomen trying to see where the pain is..so they can focus the cat scan on the areas and then they start setting up the turnocet for my arm and she freaking has the needle out ready to set up the IV and the head of the department runs over and says STOP!

Now, I dont really like needles so I have to sort of prepare myself for this...and I did.  I was even looking at the needle before she inserted it into my right arm.  LOL  Anyway he says there is a rather large back up on the cat scan machine.  He said that while they are saying its only about an hour backed up...he said realistically, in his experience, they are more like 2-3 hours backed up.  He asked me if I could wait that long before the machine is available.  I told him that I couldn't - it was already past 4:30 pm.  If it was only 2 hours backed up I would not even be ready for the machine until around 7 pm.   He told me the scan itself would take anywhere from 30 min to an hour.  I would not be home until about 9 pm - if I was lucky.  This is on top of a school night where I had to be present for my classes and I had to call some of my students, I just could not do it.  He understood, he wrote me a note for work LOL, and gave me a phone card and a complimentary fruit basket for my inconvenience. So now I have to reschedule my appointment again!

Anyway, while I was waiting to leave - Chris called me.   He was wondering why I wasn't responding to his messages hehehe! LOL Uh because I was at the hospital doing NOTHING! heheh.... Anyway, that was my evening.  Loads of fun, wasn't it!

My Flight information

Chris and Shawn, here is my flight info.

British Airways

From Phoenix to London - leaving Sept 7th @ 1925 hours
I will land in Tel Aviv @ Sept 9th  5:30 am

Yes there is a long lay over in London from 1 pm until about 10:30 pm.  That is why I lose a day.  So I wont be at Tel Aviv until Sept 9th @ 5:30 am!

Sept 22nd I leave @ 7:05 am
I wont get to Phoenix until Sept 22nd @ 5:10 pm.

Now that return flight might change.  Because I am still considering my boss's recommendation to stay in London for a couple of days.   But that is what it currently is.

Hotel accomodations.  It looks like I will be staying at the Prima in Tel Aviv.  I have not decided on any Jerusalem accommodations yet. I am still researching it.

Against John McCain

There are many reasons not to vote for John McCain.  Unfortunately, there is a solid chance he will be the Republican candidate for President.  If he does become the nominee - I will not vote for him.  I will either <cough cough>  vote for the Democrat or I will leave it blank.   But I cannot in good conscious vote for the Maverick and unfortunately he is my Senator.  If you want a detailed and concise reason to NOT vote for Senator John McCain - I suggest you read this.  It is a bit long - but very thorough and very researched.

Chris, I am looking at you...you really should read this.

Super Bowl!!!

Well tomorrow is the big day.  Dallas isn't in it so I really don't have a strong preference other than hoping New England loses.   If they do win they should have an Astrix since they got caught cheating earlier in the year.  Anyway, for those who are American football impaired we have some clips here that might be amusing.   Thanks to I think it was the hostages that came up with one.

Guilty Pleasures

There are a few things that I consider guilty pleasures.  I could watch Blazing Saddles or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas all the time....I guess I am a creature of habit when it comes to certain things.  Watching the West Wing or That 70s show or even Highlander repeatedly is a fun thing to do on the weekend if I had nothing to do.

Today, one of those little guilty pleasures are on TV.  I have no idea why I enjoy it so much but I just do.  That movie is Notting Hill.  Yep, no idea why I enjoy it so much.  I just do.  And, it was on once this morning and again this evening so I got to see it almost twice.   Anyway, yeah I am weird.

Israel tourist books

Yesterday I went shopping.  I was at border and usually I get into serious serious trouble there.  Between the books and dvds I could EASILY drop 200 - 500 dollars there.  I do restrain myself but if I go to the borders at the biltmore...it is a real challenge.  Yesterday I went to the one in Tollesson (closer to my house) and I really did not find anything that jumped out at me...and say PURCHASE ME NOW.  So, after getting a mocha and thinking about DVD box sets or a book on the Byzantine Empire...I decided that now would be a good time to get something in preparation for my vacation.  So I ended up getting a detailed relief map of Israel that highlighted Nature Reserves, National Parks, Historic Sites, tourist centers, not to be missed sites and Holy Places.  On top of this I ended up getting Frommer's Israel. It is over 500 pages long!   So, in between my teaching, learning Hebrew I am not going to start browsing this book now as well!

Democrats eating their own

From Protein Wisdom!   Gotta love this.  An organization created by the Clintons, defending the Clintons and now deserting the Clintons!

MoveOn gets stuck endorsing Obama [Karl]

The main moonbats behind MoveOn changed their rules to favor â€œNone of the above,” but misunderestimated their colony, who came up with a 70% supermajority to endorse Sen. Barack Obama.

The “winner” accepted the long-term kiss of death from the “Gen. Petraeus/Betray-Us” crowd to get access to its estimated 1.7 nutballs in the Super-Duper Tuesday states.  As noted at The Nation:

Organizers said they would “immediately” begin mobilizing on behalf of Obama, leading turnout programs and phone-banking members of MoveOn in targeted states. The group made seven million “GOTV” calls for Democrats in the mid-term elections, and it has an extensive voter file database.

The Republican National Committee wasted little time in using the endorsement to highlight Obama’s title as the newly-crowned “most liberal” member of the Senate (the very link I earlier suggested the endorsement would raise) and to ask why a group founded to defend the Clintons was now rejecting Sen. Hillary Clinton.

(h/t Weasel Zippers.)

Bonus:  The official MoveOn press release quotes comments from its members including this:

“Barack Obama represents CHANGE in so many levels. He brings HOPE that America can, again, be respected by the rest of the world and that Americans can be proud, again, of our leaders!” — Isabelle Mollien, Denver, CO

The ALL CAPS are in the original.

What to do

Traffic sucks now...Arizona is the place to be...last night Bill Clinton and Obamessiah was in town.  The democratic debate was at ASU (Arizona State University) last night....this weekend we have the Superbowl...and the FBR Open (Golf) is happening in Scottsdale.  Which basically means that Phoenix has gone from about 5 million people to about  12 million people in a week!  Yes traffic always a bad thing has become intolerable.

I was supposed to have my cat scan today but I decided to postpone it because I sure as hell do not want to spend 3 hours in traffic to go 25 miles.

So, what to do...Dallas isnt in the super bowl.  I don't care about golf LOL...hehe...I met Hitlary already....and almost met Bill Clinton last night - hehe...that would have been funny...LOL  Maybe the movies might be a safe bet.  Who knows.   At least I got some pain meds...so that is at least helping me....thank you vicoden!! hehe
