Yeah I know only one video today. I was grading papers then I stopped to watch John Adams (this time it went up to his presidency). Next week is the last episode and it will go from his retirement from public life to his death.

At 5:45 am, Michelle calls me and wakes me up since I had to pick her up and get to the trainer @ 6:30. We managed to get there around 6:50 am. I had to take her home and get to the car dealership for an 8:30 am I got there at almost 9 am and after waiting there for almost 2 1/2 hours I found out they have to order parts so they gave me a rental (Keep in mind this is my NEW Car). At least the repairs wont cost me a penny and the car rental is only $5.00 a day. I hope to have my car back hopefully by Tuesday.
Then I end up at my sister's place. I forgot the notary stamps that she needed, so we end up going to lunch and then I bought her a vaccum cleaner for her B-day and my bro-in law's bday.
See I would have called Lital around 11 am my time but there was simply NO way I could.
I ended up leaving my sister's place around 3 pm and I am just drained, but I get home and I start cleaning my house, cleaning the kitchen and living room, washing dishes and just regular crap. playing with the cats in between

Tomorrow will be a new day, a calmer day.

Obama To Rural Pennsylvanians: Vote For Me, You Corncob-Smokin', Banjo-Strokin' Chicken-Chokin' Cousin-Pokin' Inbred Hillbilly Racist Morons
Bumped. And flaming-skulled.

Well, it is what he said, more or less.
Actually he said this at a San Fransisco fundraiser (of course), but I can't wait 'till Pennsylvanians hear about this. Obama on the "resentments" of small-town Pennsylvanians:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Nevermind all that stalking and sodomizing of city-slickers from Atlanta.
This isn't Obama "misspeaking," either. Remember, in that speech on race -- the greatest speech since Abraham Lincoln -- he first seemed to allow that white Americans had legitimate complaints about affirmative action and black crime rates, but then claimed those frustrations were actually misdirected anger about corporations.
This is pure leftist cant -- it's all "false consciousness" stuff, all what our Corporate Masters want us to think, playing us all against each other as they line their pockets with our sweat and tears.
Guns, border security, even religion itself aren't really legitimate points of interest. Instead they're all part of the "culture of fear" indoctrinated into us by the corporate emperors really running this country.
Thanks to Larwyn.
Click here to read the whole thing! This is clearly why our friendly ewok is CPAC blogger of the year! Because as I said before - this is just part one. Part two is where you get the humorous part of why Ace rules just so much!Obama Sends Actor Ronnie Cox To Mend Fences With Small-Town Folks
An emissary of hope. And change. And banjo.
It's patriotic, too, y'all. You heard Yankee Doodle Dandy in there, right?
I feel so fuckin' healed right now it burns like ice.
Hmmm... I have linked not one but two videos starring Ronnie Cox today.
I am betting this is a blogospheric first.
I think someone owes me another Blogger of the Year award or somethin'.
Oh, incidentally: It's not dueling banjos, for crying out loud. One of them is a guitar.
But I guess small-town folk refer to jess about any old music-makin' device as a banjo. The difference is this is a banjo you finger and strum, this here's a banjo you blow into, this otha one here is one of them Grand Banjos you sit yo'self down in front of and tickle the keys of.
Those poor Pennsylvanian bastards! Those inbred rednecked uneducated fools just dont know any better. I cant wait to see what Middle America has to say about this. Because G-d knows those liberals wont see anything wrong at all with what the Messiah has to say! Is this Obama's equivalent of the Dean Scream????more...

After that I promptly fell asleep for about an hour...until my phone started ringing.
Now I just have to decide what in the hell I am going to do with these extra TVs! And I gotta move some of these boxes into the garage.
And, you know what sucks. Today I got paid from the college - my first draft using direct deposit and damn the money was gone even before it hit the damned account. Oh well..another step closer to Israel!

A year ago today, I had this insanely crazy idea to start a blog. Hell I read enough of them on a daily basis and I thought this would be pretty cool. The main topics would be Tasha and Dishka, Politics and anything else that came in my mind. LOL Blog posts about my life and history..and now the vacation turned from sheer fantasy to reality!
For the year: 1052 blog posts. Over 750+ comments.
This has been a very interesting year! I hope this year will be just as interesting and more importantly FUN!

I wonder how this will play in the MSM!While the crowd was indeed diverse, some students at the event questioned the practices of Mrs. Obama’s event coordinators, who handpicked the crowd sitting behind Mrs. Obama. The Tartan’s correspondents observed one event coordinator say to another, “Get me more white people, we need more white people.†To an Asian girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, “We’re moving you, sorry. It’s going to look so pretty, though.â€
“I didn’t know they would say, ‘We need a white person here,’ †said attendee and senior psychology major Shayna Watson, who sat in the crowd behind Mrs. Obama. “I understood they would want a show of diversity, but to pick up people and to reseat them, I didn’t know it would be so outright.â€

Here is the info that LGF posted including a link to the source:
PrestoPundit has found a 1965 paper written by Obama’s father, in which he advocates:
— 100% taxation
— communal farms / the elimination of private farming
— the nationalization of businesses owned by “Europeans†and “Asiansâ€.
— “active†measures to bring about a classless society
PrestoPundit is calling it the “Rosebud†of the Obama campaign: Barack Obama hid his father’s socialist and anti-Western convictions from his readers.

Keep in mind, this is damn near identical to Obamessiah!
From LGF!
Also from Infidel are cool:
After many lectures like this, Obama decided to take a second look at Wright’s church. Older pastors warned him that Trinity was for “Buppiesâ€â€“black urban professionals–and didn’t have enough street cred. But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity’s guiding principles–what the church calls the “Black Value Systemâ€â€“included a “Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.’â€

I am so wore out! LOL I am back up to teaching 7 classes plus holding down my day job. At least soon one of our foremen is going to stop by...move some furniture (no way in hell I will LOL) and take this table off my hands. My living room will be huge again for the time being.
If I was not going on a vacation, I know exactly what I would be doing. I would be landscaping my back yard, getting a spa and outdoor furniture with a fire pit LOL. BUT, going to Israel is FAR FAR FAR more important! Just light years ahead in importance to me.
Today after work I spoke with a child hood friend, Daniel (Danny). It was a good conversation. I told him of my desire to move to Israel permanently and it took him by surprise. I am so sure my sister is going to damn near lynch me once I tell her of my intention, though I do think I have mentioned it to her as a desire. Lately, that desire has been growing in me. I guess as the vacation grows more and more real...the motivation to actually live there is growing just as fervently. During the conversation with Dan, he wanted me to call his mother. I am rather unsure about it now that I have been thinking about it. Sure there are some nice memories there..but honestly, the bad memories are too plentiful and it was those bad memories that stood fresh out in mind. Somethings in childhood should stay memories and not see the light of day, IMHO. There is probably a good reason they are in the subconscious.
Oh news flash, it is snowing in Paris! hehe.
5 more months to ISRAEL! Chris finally decided, we will take the Southern Tour as well as the tour in Jerusalem.

This means the tour will focus on En Gedi, the Dead Sea and Masada.
We will use our rental car and explore Haifa, Galilee, Golan (well to a point) the crusader castles, Tiberias and many many other places in the Northern part of Israel.

That's it for now!

This conversation was really sparked by Luc's most recent tribute. When viewing that tribute, all of the older clips and photos in comparison with the newer clips the evolution is clearly not the same anymore. There is a world of difference between the Tasha clips of a year ago (and older) compared to the Tasha clips of today. In a way it is sad, very sad. In a way it is a sign of growth. Is it good? Is it bad? Who knows, but the observations we made are:
For example, the last clip that the girls really appeared in was about 8 months ago. Since then the clips that, for the most part, they have done together were shot separately. A clear example of this is the New Years clip. Lital recorded hers separately from Dishka's. This has been pretty much SOP (standard operating procedure).
Another trend we have observed is that the clips just are not the same as they used to be. I don't know if its because that they are just so busy...but the result is rather striking.
Take for example the last few clips Lital posted Love is strange, tainted love, and lip sync is dead. In those clips they were all having fun, smiling, dancing around and just being the spontaneous girls that we became addicted too. The clips were in a word infectious.
The recent clips, since they started college, have a completely different feel. Between the girls not being in the clips much together, the somber subject matter of some of the clips, or the clips are just one of dinner parties. In other words nothing too creative, especially when compared to the other clips.
Also, I was sort of hoping that Adi would have put up some clips on her own, but that has not even happened yet. Hopefully in time that will happen.
As we know, things change and I guess this is just a symptom of that. We all know that both of the girls are extremely talented. Their clips are generally the most creative and fun clips around. The one thing I hope is that by going to school, I hope it wont alter their creativity and their improvisational process. It was that spark of improvisation that gave us Love is Strange and Stills from Life, which I think are some of the best of the recent clips Lital has done.
Stills from Life
Love is Strange

First the Leatherheads, I really enjoyed the movie. It had an O Brother where are thou feel for it. So if that is something you enjoyed...the quick witty banter between Clooney and Zellwinger (sp.) made the movie. I liked the music (it was set in 1925) and the prohibition references. This movie was basically about how one guy went about trying to make football a professional sport - as opposed to a primarily college one.
This is one I will get on DVD.

My one personal correspondence with him was with the American Air Museum in England. I had donated funds to that project and I had received a letter of thanks from him. I have no idea if it was written in his hand...or not but it was very cool nevertheless.
He will be sorely missed!
