In a dramatic announcement, Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert said Wednesday evening that he will not run in the upcoming
Kadima primary and will resign from office upon selection of a
successor, to allow the new party leader to attempt to form a coalition.
FINALLY!!!! Now Israel can get a PM who might believe that peace only means something when both sides properly enforce it!?! Is that too much to ask?
Now for a relaxing evening!
It has been a busy well...very busy couple of weeks. I honestly don't see it getting much better anytime soon, but incrementally I believe it will. The bosses are in Europe (well most of them). Most of the major stuff at work has been worked on or if not completely completed. And, since Sunday I had my nephew here...and while Curio did not like it...I did.
It was overall a very nice weekend, though busy...and I sincerely hope that the next few weeks wont be so bad.
I even had a beak from the work outs since James was in Miami...but, even the breaks dont really feel like them because while I might not have to go to his office...I end up doing something else that needs my attention.
And, Chris said we are going to talk about nailing down the plans for the trip to Israel so that some of the more finer details get arranged before the actual trip...ie our tours and such.
Some really classic clips
There are some songs that I listen to when I get down or depressed at times....usually I tend to listen to soul music..it can be very powerful and moving.. When I was moving out to Arizona, and recovering from surgery at the time I tended to get depressed quite easily...and recently I heard some songs on the radio that reminded me of that time....So, hey time to put them on the blog! LOL
When I listen to these songs...I tend to get into a better frame of mind that no matter what mood I am in...it will pass.
War - Don't let no one get you down
William DeVaughn - Be Thankful for what you got
Living in Southern California with the low rider community and driving a 1959 Chevy...kinda made these songs sound even COOLER as your driving down the freeway or getting to work.
Worst commercial EVER
I just saw the worst fucking commercial on TV. It was for JC Penny. They fucking remade the Breakfast club...and it fucking sucked! I just have one thing to say to those marketing (non-imaginative bastards)! LEAVE MY CHILDHOOOD ALONE!

The bills are more artistic ,I like the idea of having different colors represent different denominations.the newer bills will be made of some kind of plastic.

Vacation news
Today I got $200 in New Shekels - that translates to about 600 Shekels. YAY!!!! Another small step toward the vacation. By the time I leave....I plan to have at least 1k in Israeli money before I land in Tel Aviv!
Quote of the Day!
"JERUSALEM IS NOT FOR SALE, OBAMA"
He should fucking take that to heart!
Here is the report from Drudge:
OBAMA VISITS WESTERN WALL IN OLD CITY
JERUSALEM... ARRIVES AT 5:08 AM LOCAL TIME [10:08 PM ET]... SUNRISE...
SHOUTING MAN: 'JERUSALEM IS NOT FOR SALE, OBAMA'... MOB SCENE...
CHAOS... BOWING HIS HEAD IN PRAYER... PLACES NOTE IN WALL... POSES FOR
PHOTOS... LOTS OF SHOUTING... LEAVES 5:20 AM... DEVELOPING...
1968 all over again.
Even though it was before my time....I have seen the documentaries. Yes, I remember even living through the LA Riots. I remember being tempted to see them in progress (yes I was young and stupid) - and watching them on the news was not enough. Well, it seems like we might have an opportunity to see more riots soon, in Denver of all places. Why Denver - you ask? Well, as I alluded to 1968, the riots will take place at the Democratic National Convention. Now that the Democrats have chosen Captain Bullshit...I thought the chances would diminish...I did until this:
A new kind of warning has come up about protesters gearing up for the Democratic National Convention.
Denver firefighters have learned of a house full of urine being stored to throw at police. An internal memo is warning first responders that disgusting acts are a significant concern.
Protesters
in other cities have used urine and feces filled balloons to throw at
police and there are concerns that could happen during the Democratic
National Convention in Denver.
As Ace states: Stay Classy Nutroots....I have something else to say! Come on Nutroots, I dare you...try to relieve your youth...dare the cops and other security professionals. I know I would tune in - just to watch that!
It was interesting, but not as good as the other behind the scenes clip (The Jonah play, I believe it was). It had an artsy feel to it. With the fake arm acting like it was a real arm touching people and unzipping a guys pants LOL..yeah..hehe Ok I remember seeing stuff like that when I took my Art History class...amusing sure.
Then we see the behind the scenes of Lital and others getting choked. We have seen that too...umm..Behind the Scenes of the Hey Clip..we have even seen Lital getting head butted before too. I did like the stop motion view of it - that was unique. In the end there just wasn't enough of Lital...in the clips and no Dishka - and that sucked.
Another Terrorist attack in Jerusalem
A Copycat this time.
The Muqata has the scoop, pictures and video of the killing of the terrorist piece of shit.
You might as well not even look at the AP or CNN because their first drafts are Israeli bulldozer driver shot dead. No hint in regards to the actual act of carrying out terrorism. Can you freaking imagine what would happen and how it would be reported if something like this happened in New York City or Los Angeles? All over the place it would be reported about the act of terrorism (if suspected). This is just another example of the Israeli Double Standard in news reporting!
My heart and prayers are with the families affected by this act of terrorism and destruction.
Interesting news...from a far off place
Oh back in 1998, I belonged to this Roman group called Nova Roma. I enjoyed it....perhaps too much...but I became very active and involved in its success and development. And around 1999 I did something well...not right...I ended up finding out where the board of directors met online and basically lurked and read what was going on, before I became a member of the Board of Directors. I confessed, was never caught, I just told that I was able to access the information, and it caused a huge stink, because well...I am overbearing, confrontational and I tended to be the type of person (in the organization) that either you liked me or you hated me.). So, I was reprimanded. I accepted it...and from that point on worked as hard as I could to overcome that. I think I did a pretty good job, but was still confrontational to the extreme..but I and a few others became known as the Boni (arch conservative/traditionalists) in the organization and with that came ALOT of conflict...too much so and my enjoyment diminished as the conflicts rose and just took over. By the time I moved to Arizona I had all but walked away from NR. This despite reaching the pinnacle of traditional historic Roman Republican authority (holding the Quaestorship, Praetorship, Consulship and Censorship). I know it probably seems corny now, but at the time..with the amount of work I put into the organization I was proud of my achievements. Anyway, today I just got news from a friend on facebook who is still active in the organization that my reprimand was officially rescinded. Honestly, at this point I could care less if it was there or not. Removing it fro official status does not take away the fact that it occurred. Only that it is not "officially" on the books. And, despite it being on the books it did not stop me from being elected to every office I ran. Just whenever there was the remotest controversay surrounding me, it was always brought up as see...Sulla (that was my nickname) is untrustworthy and suspect. It's a nice gesture what they did, but not necessary, I guess is what I am trying to say.
