Tonite was a nice discussion with Chris.  We are starting the final phases of the planning. 

Tours:

1/2 a day tour of Jerusalem
1 day tour of the South (Dead Sea, Masada, En Gedi etc)
1 day tour of the North Coast - Acre, Haifa, Crusader and Roman Ruins - Caesarea, and Mt Carmal.  The Gardens up to the Lebanese border.

We are also making a list of places that we both WANT to see...even if it is covered in a tour so that we will be able to set up some objectives.  Like I know I want to spend alot of time in the Israeli Museum and I want to see the Kenesset.

So if anyone has ideas or suggestions let me know!

Yes, today is EXTREMELY busy, but in between everything I messaged some of the schedulers at UoP since I only have 1 class pending and 6 classes going on now (and two are ending this week). Within about 10 min I got a message stating that I could have two more classes beginning on 8/25! YAY!!!!  NICE this means that on 9/10 while in Israel I will have even more cash available!

Tonite is the 4th episode of Generation Kill, and I haven't really mentioned it at all because I don't really find it that gripping.  I can state it is NOT a series with the quality of Band of Brothers! 

Given some of the blogs I read, there have been some strong criticism of some of the deviation from what happened there.  I guess this is one of the problems one is going to have covering something that is just barely becoming history!

This is probably a series I will own, but I wont go out and buy it the day after its released like Band of brothers.
