Law posts

Yesterday was a travesty of legal opinions set forth by the United States Superme Court that dictated, in essence, child molesters should not be put to death.  That was a fucking mind fuck if I ever read it.  And it certainly looked like Justice Kennedy, who wrote the opinion, has never had anyone in his family raped or child molested.  For if he did, there is no fucking way he would have ever written such legal claptrap.

Well, today an equally important case was decided, in some ways a more fundamental (constitutionally speaking) case was decided.  Heller!  Today the court ruled that the 2nd Amendment deserves being respected!  YAY!  And what makes this even better is that Justice Scalia wrote the majority opinion.

Here is what Gabe wrote (who also has the flaming skull up!)

The justices split 5-4 on ideological lines (with Kennedy joining the conservative justices). Justice Scalia wrote the majority opinion, as predicted. I'm surprised that Scalia managed to convince enough of his fellows to have a majority opinion, rather than dueling pluralities.

The ruling: the Second Amendment protects an individual right to have firearms.

I think we need some cowbell!!!!!  Because who would have thought that the second amendment actually protected our right to have firearms!!

I have to find a damn good pic!

1 Good post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It will always be exciting to read through content from other authors and use a little something from their websites.
