This past weekend, while I was in the depths of my bout with bronchitis. My sister went to the Arizona Home and Travel show at the University of Phoenix (where I teach) football stadium. She went there for me because there was a booth that was being sponsered by the Israeli Department of Tourism.
I just got off the phone wiht her and she stated that she got me some flyers, and the representative's business card. He told her to have me give him a call and he will be able to give me TONS of info for hotels and such. YIPPEE.
Also, I have to call back the aliyah information that Yair gave me. I couldn't call them back this week because I had absolutely no voice. Now that I am feeling better and have most of my voice back, I can give them a call. My main concern is quite simple, proving I am Jewish. My mom converted to Christianity before I was born. I do not have a regular rabbi, heck in reality I have only been to one shul since I moved to Arizona. And, there is no temple near Laveen. I would have to trek out to Scottsdale or greater Phoenix to be able to attend Shabbas. Anyway, I guess we will see where this takes us.
