It was a surprise to see an e-mail come in from you.
I am assuming you are still in Phoenix. I thought
you might like to know what happened here.
Greta came back from Phoenix on April 14th last year.
We found a nice apartment for her up across the
Missouri state line in the tiny town of Anderson.
We are only 3 miles from the border anyway.
She needed an address in MO because her psychologist,
Dr. Orlando, was in Joplin MO. She was in and out of
the hospital and on MANY meds of course. After a trip
to the pain doctor for the pain patch we came here to
our house. She was planning to spend the weekend
with us. Her head hurt and she wanted to take a nap
in the afternoon. So she laid down and went to sleep
immediately but she never woke up and had died in her
sleep. This was October 26th, 2006.
The rescue squad said she died of a heart attack.
This is quite common I understand with people of any
age that have been taking a lot of medications for
many years. She was so toxic that the Fentanyl patch
tipped it all over the edge. They said no autopsy was
necessary despite her age. Her cousin Teresa is a
paramedic and said she sees this frequently in young
people.

Hey man,
I've had my share of deaths of people I love in my life, and I know nothing that is said can help in those situations, so I'm sending you the only thing that helps me through these things, and that's A BIG HUG from a friend!
In hebrew we say: "shelo teda od tsa'ar" - May it be you won't know sorrow no more".
With love,
yair
