1 I've been enjoying the John Adams series,however, they've made him out to be kind of a strange bird.

I didn't get that as much from the McCullough biography that the series is based on.

2 Yeah, I have enjoyed the series too...Sunday HBO is showing every part!    since its the final part.

Well, historically John Adams is viewed as a stubborn VERY stubborn man.  The series makes it look like he is more accused of being vain, which is an interesting twist.  When they viewed his Presidency I am really shocked they focused so much on the Quasi war with France (which is understandable) but barely 5 min into the Alien and Sedition Acts.  From everything I read that was a HUGE controversy in his administration and one of the primary reasons he was not re-elected.

And, about the break of friendship between Jefferson and Adams it was really weak how the portrayed it.  Considering they did not start speaking for over a decade (thank you Dr. Rush for reconciling them) one would think there would have been a more dramatic break between them beyond what the series portrayed.  In that respect I was very disappointed.  I wanted to know the cause and backstory behind it.

3 great miniseries! Giamatti will win many awards for his betrayal of John Admas, even the jefferson portrayal is incredible
