Very Excellent news!!!

As I was shopping yesterday I found some good wines and some great ideas for some Chanukah's and Christmas gifts - I know I am going to totally have to revisit some of them in the very near future!  I ended up getting just a few things at the World Market.  Well, by about 6:30 my boss and I were just beat.  So I take her home and head to my place. I did not really want get my mail, but I did and I was SO glad I did.  Yeah I got some bills - but it was my mortgage statement that struck me.  It was thicker than usual.  I opened it and it had my statement as well as an escrow summary.  In that summary, I learned two very excellent things.  One I have paid FAR too much into escrow.  About $4,000 too much!  So, they will be cutting me a check on December 8th for $3900.00.  Great news right?  Well it gets better!  On top of this summary is a readjustment for the next year's mortgage payment.  The summary is that my mortgage payment is going down to about $300.00 a month! WHOOOO!!!!  So, its like the gift that keeps on giving!  This despite the increased value of the house, and thus the taxes and my insurance!

So, what to do with the money, well, there obviously is my ticket to Israel!  Some additional home furnishings but the majority is going straight into my savings! Man, this is just so cool!

4 Last year when I bought the house it was all based on estimates.  They estimated the taxes and it came in ALOT Lower.  only 80.00 bi-yearly.  They even overestimated the home owners insurance about 100 too much.  I kinda expected an overage check, but no where near this much.
