Yesterday was a good day

A Happy day!

Went to the Dr.  Got far better news than I expected.  Had to do the happy dance of health!  (Just kidding) but I was very excited.  Got to leave work early to go to the dr appt and after that went to my sister's place to celebrate.

I was going to take her to the Keg.  But, well...it did not work out.  So we ended up going to Chompies.

And, when I got home my spa is starting to get installed.  They set up the borders and rebar and piping for draining!   YAY!!!!

Then I ended up going home - relaxing and working in my classes.  IT WAS A GOOD DAY.

Everyone at the office is enjoying the bagels I brought in.

Yesterday

Holidays are weird for me.  Because I am in such a normal routine that such a change affects me.   Yesterday for example I would normally go to work, then work on my college courses and once done relax have a bit of dinner and get ready for the next day.

Instead...I originally wanted to go to the movies.   So, I ended up waking up at 6 am...realized NO WORK!   stayed up for a bit and crashed again and next thing I know its about noon!  I got up cleaned up the house, checked my classes and went to sleep again LOL...this time dozed on the couch.  My sister woke me up about her BBQ around 5 but I was asleep....she told me to go back to sleep LOL.  Then I went out to dinner and saw the Lakers lose their game last night.

Sometimes its nice to have totally lazy days.

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day.  Where we remember those who gave the greatest sacrifice so that we have the freedoms we enjoy today.  If you have an opportunity, thank a veteran.  Buy them a beer, by them a meal.  It is the least we can do for those who have given us the greatest gift we have.  The gift of freedom.

I don't know what will happen

But, I will give some space for about two weeks to see if this blows over.  I truly hope it does.  It sucks when there are disagreements between friends.  I hope that I was just being lashed at because I was available and not for anything more substantive than that.  I hope that is the case.  If not - well I can say in good faith and confidence I did my best.

Sorry guys I know this is cryptic...but I am airing out my thoughts.  And in all friendships it has its ups and downs.  Hopefully there will be many more ups to experience.

Good thing is

I know my desire to move to Israel is NOT a whim.  I am sure some individuals might have thought that.  With rationale cause.  But, now that situations have changed...and yes I will still use the letter of recommendation I got...I am still absolutely convinced that I do want to move to Israel.  Reading the Israeli blogs and hearing their aliyah stories (much more difficult than mine) makes the challenge, changes and the end result much very desirable.

I don't know if it is the idea of starting over.  That sounds almost intimidating, but I know I can do it.  Starting over in a place that I have a connection with...a connection with fellow Jews, even though I am not sure entirely feel that connection - but the risk and the happiness is absolutely worth it.

Annoyed

Yes, I am annoyed.  One of our friends has had a mood change and has decided that this person does not need close online friends.  I respect the decision.  I do not like the decision.  What a crappy way to begin a Monday.  Anyway, I just had to vent.  I think its screwed all the way around.

It's hard to write English?  Yeah.  Umm...Sure.  Ok.

Pope in Israel

He landed.

Lets see if he will give back any of the Temple Treasure.   not going to hold my breath.

Muqata has the scoop
.

Israel better not give any more land to the Church!  That's all I have to say on it.

My B-day

Well lets take stock! LOL

My sister took me to the melting pot - that is probably the ONE place I will miss when I do make the aliyah to Israel...an amazingly wonderful higher end fondue restaurant.  Totally amazing!

Also, I got my iPhone.   Still tinkering with it.  I did upload my mp3s and that was about 5.4 Gig total.  I AM SO GLAD I GOT A 16 gig one.

I have to figure out how to put Lital's clips on there. LOL

Then I got my spa!!!  Yep...my sister gave me her spa and friends from work are going to lay the concrete, plumbing and electrial for it.  I think we agreed that all of the work will be about a grand - and this includes adding an awning (covering type of gazebo) for the spa and one for my air conditioning unit (to filter the heat).

Star Trek

Ok kids...if you havent seen it - GO NOW...Seriously...go now.

The entire movie is entertaining.  Rarely is a movie that consistent.  I liked the similarities between the young actors and the original cast.  And as a spoiler, there is continuity with the original series!

The graphics are outstanding.  The story was interesting.  And having the song in the end was awesomeo!!!

The only character I found remotely annoying was the Chekov one.
