Sex Study Shocka!!!!

From Ace and a few other blogs!

Science: Sexual Shouting By Female Monkeys May Help Male Achieve Climax

Oh, dear. I never would have guessed.

Female monkeys may shout during sex to help their male partners climax, research now reveals.

Without these yells, male Barbary macaques (Macaca sylvanus) almost never ejaculated, scientists found.

Female monkeys often utter loud, distinctive calls before, during or after sex. Their exact function, if any, has remained heavily debated.

To investigate the purpose behind these calls, scientists at the German Primate Center in Göttingen focused on Barbary macaques for two years in a nature reserve in Gibraltar.

The researchers found that females yelled during 86 percent of all sexual encounters. When females shouted, males ejaculated 59 percent of the time. However, when females did not holler, males ejaculated less than 2 percent of the time.

To see if yelling resulted from how vigorous the sex was, the scientists counted the number of pelvic thrusts males gave and timed when they happened. They found when shouting occurred, thrusting increased. In other words, hollering led to more vigorous sex.

The researchers studied this for two years and, guessing, at a cost of several million dollars.

Seems like an awful lot of work just to not-so-subtly tell your wife she shouldn't lay there like a veal.

Next Up: A multiyear study to determine if oral copulation by female sloths of their partners' genitals might correlate with increased productivity by the male as well as an increased probability of monogamous behavior.

New Book!!!!

Yeah I know I am a history geek!  Well one of the only fiction books I enjoy is the First Man in Rome Series by Colleen McCullough.   This is a series of books that essentially started in about 110 BCE - 42 BCE (The rise of Gaius Marius to the after affects of the Assassination of Gaius Iulius Caesar).   Last week a close friend of mine emailed me and told me that McCullough just released a new book to the First Man in Rome Series - this one focusing on Anthony and Cleopatra!!! I couldn't believe it.  This will bring the series to the Constitutional Reforms of Octavian and his renaming to Augustus Caesar 27 BCE!

If any one enjoys historical fiction I highly recommend these works.  You have it all...sex, violence, wars, intrigue, sex, drama, historical backdrop and did I mention sex!

The series are:

First Man in Rome
Grass Crown
Fortune's Favorite
Caesars Women
Caesar
The October Horse
Anthony and Cleopatra

Islamic Car to be available in 2011

My thoughts are this car must be an automatic and portable IED.  I mean come on.....whenver there is a car reck it will automatically turn to shrapnel and it will automatically alert all muslims to do a car swarm.  These jokes just write themselves!

I wonder what would happen if a Jewish Driver hits a Muslim car?

Well from Ace!

First "Islamic Car" To Roll Out In 2011

Allah willing, of course.

The car will have options including a compass to find Mecca and a compartment for a Koran. Priced between $8,700 and $12,000, the vehicle is meant to appeal to buyers who would like a car designed with Muslims in mind and produced by a company that acts in line with Muslim values.

In addition, the vehicle will come standard with "smart" airbags which will not deploy if the onboard sensors detect an infidel or Jew is behind the wheel.

In addition, the car's "rich, Corinthian leather" is designed to harden into shrapnel if the car is used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.

Charlie Chaplin

One of my favorite actors/comedians is Charlie Chaplin.  I could watch his movies for days...and repeat them over and over again.  And, one of my favorite songs is also written by him as well.  It was in the 1992 movie Chaplin.  Here it is:  Smile

RIP

Yesterday songwriter and singer Dan Fogelberg passed away from Prostate Cancer.  He was 56 years old.

Why do I mention this...well because of this song:

Longer

There is a story to this song.  When I was a kid, I think about 7 years old Cindy (my dad's sister's daughter) was getting married and they used this song in their wedding as their wedding song.  I remember having to dress up in a kids suit and seat people.  My sister was the flower girl.  And I remember hearing this song over and over again.  Now whenever I hear this song it takes me right back there, feeling like a kid - attending their wedding again.

RIP Dan - I am sure there are many people who are totally going to miss you and your romantic lyrics.

Lighting of the National Menorah

I got a chance to see the Lighting of the National Menorah on Cspan tonite.  It was a great experience.  It happened on Tuesday (1st evening of Hanukkah).  They had the three cantors playing and lots of dancing!  If you have a chance you should watch it on CSpan.  It was a very moving experience including the segment of paying respects to the US and the Miltiary!  Including the signing of G-d Bless America!  Can anyone imagine any Muslim doing something like that?  I sure as hell can't.
